Here is great video by Dr. Mike Evans that may help you understand why you feel stress, and tips to cope with stress:

“Mindfulness” is a mental state achieved by focusing one’s awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one’s feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, used as a therapeutic technique.

In today’s fast-paced and stressful life, Mindfulness can be like a miracle solution. It can help with everything from stress, depression, anxiety, trouble sleeping, and even general happiness.

Mindfulness requires as little as 10 minutes per day. Can you spare 10 minutes a day, if meant improving every area of your day and life!? If not, then that is even more reason you should try Mindfulness!

Simple Challenge: Try 10 minutes of mindfulness per day for 1 week, and see how you feel. What do you have to lose?

Hints: You do not have to be “good” at mindfulness, just try it and do it. No one is an expert to start. It takes practice. Just spending the time trying ends up giving you results.

You can Google “Mindfulness” and find several excellent resources to try: websites, books, and smartphone apps. Many of which are free.

One excellent resource that Dr. Stewart found was Calm.com where you can download their smartphone app and even try a free introductory “7 Days of Calm” guide to start learning and practice mindfulness.

(Note: Dr. Stewart does not have any financial nor vested interest in Calm.com. It is just one resource that he happened to try and enjoy. There are many alternative options).

Whenever you feel stressed, emotional, or overwhelmed, try the following tip. Even though it says it is for an anxiety attack, it can help for all types of stress and relaxation.

It may not be easy to do this technique at the very start, but practice it. It becomes easier and more effective.
