Cross-check your Ministry of Health enrolment roster against your EMR to catch patients who are rostered on one side but not the other. It runs entirely in your browser, so no patient information is ever uploaded or leaves your computer.
Before you start · gather two files
1
Ministry roster
.xml file · from the province
! Use Google Chrome. The Ministry's GO Secure / MC EDT portal does not work reliably in Safari.
- Open the Ministry's MC EDT portal and sign in with your GO Secure ID and password.
- Go to your reports area and open your patient enrolment roster.
- Download it in XML format, not PDF. The tool needs the XML.
- Save the file somewhere you can find it.
2
EMR roster
.txt file · TELUS PS Suite
- Download the ready-made PS Suite Search file below and save it.
- In PS Suite, open the Search tool and import this Search.
- Run it. It returns Patient #, First Name, Surname, and Health Number for your rostered patients.
- Export the results as tab-delimited text and save the .txt file.
Run the reconciliation
Load both files into the tool, confirm the Health Card Number field it detects for each side, then click Reconcile. You will get two lists you can export: patients you have rostered in your EMR but who are missing from the Ministry file, and patients the Ministry has rostered to you that your EMR is not tracking.
