What is it used for?

It is used to treat gout flares.

Possible Side Effects

The most common side effect is diarrhea.

How to take this medication

Take this medication when you get a flare of gout.

It comes in a 0.6mg pill.

DAY 1:

You start by taking TWO pills at once. Then, 2 hours later, you can take another ONE pill.

DAY 2 and thereafter:

After that, you take ONE pill per day until either of these happen:

  • Your gout resolves. (Great, you don’t need any more).

or

  • You get diarrhea. That means your body has had enough of the medication and you can stop it for now.
